How do you choose the right engagement ring?

Men know, choosing an engagement ring is no easy task.

Gentlemen, as you know, for a woman, the engagement proposal is a very important moment that must be perfect.

You will have to choose a ring that will please your wife and match her personality. Here are a few tips on how to make sure you have the best chance of getting her the ring of her dreams.

For starters, choosing an engagement ring should not be done lightly. It is a strong symbol that represents everyone's commitment to your relationship. You can therefore play with the symbolism of the stones to choose the one that will best represent your love.

The four gemstones most commonly found on "classic" engagement rings are diamond, emerald, ruby and sapphire.

Diamond is a timeless stone, which has the advantage of going with everything and will go wonderfully with your wife's outfits, necklaces and bracelets. It symbolizes eternal love. Even though your wife will wear it every day for years, it will not lose its lustre. There are diamonds that are duller than others and will also be cheaper. To make your choice, take into account your future wife's tastes and your budget.

The emerald will symbolize the sincerity of your feelings towards each other. Coquettish, self-confident or simply women who like green will appreciate an emerald ring. It is a stone which does not leave indifferent, but also one of the most expensive.

Sapphire has become very fashionable since Prince William chose it for Kate Middleton's engagement ring! It symbolizes sincerity and fidelity. It is the cheapest gemstone, but it is still quite expensive, especially if it is a very bright blue.

Finally, the ruby is the stone of happiness and passion. Its bright red colour will be perfect for your future fiancée if she is an energetic woman and overflowing with joy of life. If you opt for ruby, plan a high budget: it is a rare gemstone and therefore very expensive. You should also know that, like sapphire, the brighter the colour, the more expensive it will be.

You can also choose a less common stone. With an original ring adapted to his personality, your beloved will have every reason to feel unique.

For example, a ring set with garnet will be perfect if red suits her and pleases her. Garnet represents consistency. Topaz and amethyst, which are more discreet, symbolize fidelity and sincerity respectively. They can be associated with one or more diamonds: this will give more strength to your declaration of love. Finally, if your future fiancée swears by blue, think of turquoise: this stone represents love and happiness.

Once you have in mind the precious stone that will make her heart capsize, you will still have to choose the shape of the ring and the metal of the ring. Round, square, oval stone? One stone, two, three, or more? Discreet, showy? Yellow gold, white gold, silver, platinum? Pay attention to the rings your wife likes and already wears: it will already give you an idea.

Also, choose a metal that will go with the stone you have chosen! For example, emerald will look great with yellow gold. A stone like pink corundum, combined with white gold, will give an original and ultra-feminine style.

As you will have understood, there is no precept to follow absolutely when choosing an engagement ring. All you have to do is get to know your partner and offer him THE ring made for her!
